I live in Phoenix, and my in-laws live in UT. My family and I will be driving up Highway 89 in a couple weeks to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with the in-laws. On our way we will drive by Page and Lake Powell. I still have not taken my boat to Powell, but I hope to make a trip next spring/summer. To prepare for the trip I would like to stop in Page or the marina at Wahweep to get more information about the lake. I am mostly looking for maps and information about camping on the lake. Are there any specific places I should stop in to see while I am in the area that can get some good Lake Powell information. I would like to get a good map that has been laminated. Please share your thoughts on the information resources available in the Page area.

Go to Antelope Point Marina as well. Heck, Walmart may have the good maps too. The best are made by Fishingmap dot com.

You can obtain just about all the info you need on wayneswords.com. The info is complete, accurate and current.
By the way. If youv'e never been to powell, it is an experience of a lifetime. I've been there over 20 times.

I was talking to my employer just today and he always goes to the Wahweap area. He said it is beautiful just up the canyon from Antelope. He also said that because of low water, there is a brand new boat ramp at Antelope Point. I haven't ever been down at that end, we always go to Bullfrog. It is a beautiful lake and I love it there. Stop at the marina there and they will have all the maps and info you want.

I can't recommend Lake Powell enough, it's a spectacular place for a vacation. I'm guessing by your name that you enjoy skiing and the early morning flat water is endless, you'll love it. I attached a picture I took last summer from the top of a houseboat.
