have twin 1980 merc 454's with rochester quadrajet carbs been having trouble getting one to start after boat sits at dock for more than a couple days. noticed fuel wasnt squirting into barrels when you pump the throttle, so removed top half of carb and float bowl is completely dry. once started everything runs fine,fuel pump,fuel line from tank to filter and filter were all replaced this spring. vent on tank is clear also. any ideas ???
