I feel real stupid asking this. I just started shopping for a new engine. What does DSLSE stand for?

Re: Dslse

Can you use it in a sentence? LOL. Just wondering what it pertains to as in is it something the manufacture has in an add or is it an abbreviation on a Craigs list add. No idea at this point. Best of luck. Rick.

Don't feel stupid. I don't know what it means either. Maybe you should ask the seller?

EDIT: Wild guess, probably the code in the model number.

Even wilder guess: E-Tech, Salt water version, Extra long shaft, Electric

Figured it out! What you have is a slight missprint by the dealer .what it should say in that ad is e90dsl which means 90 hp etec 20 inch shaft electricstart. Also dsl model is white were as the dpl model is blue.

Re: Dslse

No problem guys ,glad to be of help. The only reason i got this one was i just recently bought a 2011 e-tec 60hp.though i remember the dealer telling me white was salt water version im not total sure of that as mine is blue and has a sticker right on the lower side that says, approved for salt water use.Cool thing about it is the 60 has the large gearcase and my props from my 1982 90hp evinrude fit right on there perfectly.
