Having major difficulties trouble shooting this problem. Motor starts fine, idles fine, tachs up in neutral, put it under a loads and it stalls out . Paid $220.00 and the tech said the carbs needed cleaning. Get the boat home and it does the same thing. I change all tank and fuel line fittings including the ball, change gas. Still stalls, take it back to the tech and doing the same thing UNTIL he hooks up his test fuel tank. It runs fine. Tells me I must have water in my tank.
Clean out fuel tank, ADD a external water separator and new fuel. Take it to the river the motor runs fine UNTIL I trim the motor and bogs out and stalls.
The motor is 3 cylinders could it be the floats are sticking when the motor isn't plumb to the water line. Even when the motor is in tilt, it is only 5 to 10 degrees off plumb. Why would this make that much of a difference to make the motor run well?
Anybody have any ideas???? Thanks, Frank
