I have a late 80's DT 65 that runs great in idle but dies when you put it in gear. Sometimes will idle in gear but if you give it gas it bogs down. I have rebuilt the carbs twice and and after each time the motor would run great for a few days. Also I would find some water in the carbs even after I cleaned out the fuel system, tank and all. Im running out of ideas and didnt know if someone here could help me out. I also tried to pump the bulb while someone put it in gear to check the fuel pump. That didnt help at all.
Thanks
Jason

Replace your fuel pump diaphragm and install a water separator ... after that, clean your carbs once more, should be fine ...

A water seperator filter is a must, not alot of money.I would also change primer bulb if it's a few years old,and has been left outside.
