DT25 rebuild or not

I have a 1993 DT25 that I have apart due to low compression. I would like your opinion on if I should rebuild it or part it out. My goal at the end is to at least be able to sell the motor for the price of the parts and machining needed to properly rebuild it.

Things needed: 2 bearings on the crank, three pistons and rings, boring at least two cylinders (I'll probably just do all three), top and bottom oil seals and a power head gasket set. The total would come to about $950.00 including the cost of the motor ($200.00). So I guess my question is: could I get about $1000.00 for a properly rebuilt 25hp suzuki.

I welcome your comments and opinions.

Re: DT25 rebuild or not

I have a complete DT25 powerhead off a 1988 engine .It has excellent compression and some electrical parts. I took 3 and made 2. I have it left over. If it will fit I will let go cheeeeeep.....:D
