DT30C repair question

I have a 1989 Suzuki DT30C. Propeller shaft housing somehow got violently displaced, twisting house and cracking upper threaded screw hole in lower unit casing and causing lower screw to twist off on removal. Question is: How much pressure/torque is applied to this unit. I believe that the lower screw can be removed and re-threaded, but am unsure of condition of upper screw. Probably can remove distortion but cracking around threaded screw hole will still exist.

Looking for suggested repair options or source for new housing.

Re: DT30C repair question

You can look at this schematic and see what you're dealing with behind the shaft housing. If the damage was so dramatic that it cracked or warped the housing, well you can make up you're mind on the extent of damage to the seals and the bearings behind the shaft housing.

Might just be cheaper to go with a used lower unit off of a blown motor. I'd keep my eyes on eBay.
Good Luck
