DT75 -88. Should I glue the engine holder gasket or not?

I'm worried that the new gasket will leak as the mating surfaces are pitted and not as good as I want them to be.
The gasket is a genuine Suzuki gasket.
Should I add a thin layer glue on the gasket or is it better not to glue the gasket?
I have ordinary RTV silicone and Permatex Form-A-Gasket No2 Sealant on my shelf.

Maybe you could fill in the pits with JB Weld, file and polish surface until smooth, mount gasket with marine grease?...Just an idea...

Assembled it last night and added a thin layer of Permatex.

I am a bit late on this but for future reference, If the pitting is not too bad you can use Johnson/Evinrude thread and gasket sealer. I wouldn't be without it for base gaskets even if the surfaces are good.
