dt85 1982.no power :(

took boat out and starts fine.when i accelerate it only revs to a certain point and then sounds like its flooded on full trottle.kind of splutters.it stil drive but only at a third of what it should.cant understand as it was perfect few weeks ago.am i looking at carbs? linkage? am a novice with linkage and timing. opinions and suggestions more then welcome.

Linkage shouldn't change unless you took something apart....could be carbs, water in fuel, this, that, other thing....pull plugs, check compression(you can buy gauge for just a few bucks), and then clean or replace plugs with new...did all the plugs look the same...run and look at plugs again...find which cyl(s) isnt firing and let us know what you find....check your fuel and see if bulb is staying pumped up or soft, or sucked in....k?
