dt85 clicks at solenoid

i was going to run my dt85 on the muffs this morning for a little while, turned over and over then sounded like the battery went dead.swaped 2 diffrent batteries thinking the battery was dead.i noticed when i turned the key to start it it would just click at the solenoid.does this mean the solenoid is bad? thanks for any help!!!!

Nope, it just means your battery leads could be corroded or the terminals is not tight enough on the battery terminals ....

Ckecked all of that got em as tight as I could get em!

Remove each connection in the starting circuit,including the one on the side of the starter and the ground connections, clean with a 3M Scotchbrite pad, a drop of oil, tighten back up good and tight. That will most likely get you going, but if not, check for corrosion on inside of battery cables. Good Luck!

Checking with a voltmeter would be easy to see if or where you are loosing the voltage.
