I purchased two batteries for my tracker. A starter battery and a deep cycle battery. What should be hooked up to the starter battery and what should be hooked up to the deep cycle battery?
Thanks

Re: Dual Batteries

Motor - Starter
Trolling Motor - Deep Cycle

I have a Marine "Cranking" battery for the motor and the Marine Deep Cycle on the trolling motor.

Re: Dual Batteries

On my old Pro Crappie (I'm not sure on the new boat) the livewell and bilge pumps and electric anchor were connected to the deep cycle battery along with the trolling motor. I'm not sure about the lights, but if I had to guess I'd say they were on the deep cycle battery too.

x2 for me. Only the trolling motor is on the deep cycle and everything else is on the crank.
