dual purpose battery life/charge?

bought a new dual purpose from bass pro shop. 15' basstracker2 84 merc' 35 hp motorguide 1994 model (pos) rent to resevoir yesterday and trolled for a few hours, not much usage in my opinion. when do i charge and how? have a reg batt charger. was thinking about purchasing minn kota batt charger from bass pro any advice?

The sooner you recharge, the better for the life of the battery. I put mine on as soon as I get home. I have one of the portable 110 minn-kota chargers and I am very happy with it. Thinking of buying a second one.

Batteries need to be charged immediately after use. They can be charged at a rate that is up to 20% of the amp/hour rating. That means a 10 amp setting or so is fine.
