Gentlemen,

My old horn slowly degraded to the point it would only make a very small noise. It sounded like it wanted to work but just simply wouldnt. I ended up breaking off one of the plastic trumpets and decided to just get a new one.

I wired up the new horn and it sounded exactly like the old one, just made a small noise like it was really trying to work. I didnt have a voltmeter at the time so I cannot check if proper voltage is there. However, when I just wired up one horn at a time it worked great, on either side. This inidcates both wires are supplying proper voltage to power just one of the horns, but not both at the same time. All fuses are in good order.

Any Ideas???

Thanks....

your wiring may be old/ rotted and not carrying proper volts/amps.

Thats what I suspected, but when I wired up just one of the horns it worked great on both sides. Just fails when both trumpets are hooked up at the same time. Im thinking a switch problem perhaps? If both wires generate enough voltage to run one horn at a time, It leads me to believe the wires are still good?? Obviously not an electrician!!
