I am not able to work on my outboard motor like i have previously done in the past, such as dropping the lower unit ect..ect.<br />What is the (ballpark) cost to have the water pump serviced by a professional technician?

i would guess somewhere around $200....cost me $190 to have a new waterpump and impeller put in my 60hp......if you just need an impeller its prolly less. others can prolly help ya more

I just had mine done before spring launch.<br /> It was $172.Keep in mind the boat was allready out of the water so pulling boat or motor was not necessary.

depends on the motor ,the age, the last time it was done if in salt water. some variables come into play. most times here if the shaft has not been greased in ten years you throw the motor away as the splines are a solid unit.

Hi rodbolt, its a 1989 75hp Mariner, only ever used in fresh water, i serviced the water pump myself about 18 months ago.

Flat rate on a fresh water motor is 1 hr.
