a few years ago we anchored off Constance Bank in slack water,butwhen the tideturned we were very quickly in trouble- the boat[ a 26' heavily built I/O]was in danger of being capsized, so we cut the anchor line- there wasn't even time to power out of it.<br /> What we should have done was used the correct technique of dropping the anchor off a scotchman and then tied up to that.Live and learn.[thankfully we lived]Tides can turn very quickly and if accompanied by wind, put you in danger far more quickly than you think
