Yeah, the anti gun people do not really look at all the facts, just the ones that help to make their case. Its just like the environmentalists who protest all day long, then get into their 1972 Chevy Suburban that polutes like crazy, go home to their log house that could have built ten stick-frame houses, and fire up the huge wood stove that consumes enough wood to build a few more stick-frame houses. <br /><br />I am not one who believes that everyone needs guns, but I do think if a person feels he needs a gun for sport or self defense, then they should have that right. I got enough of playing with guns in the Army, once you play with the big guns, handguns and rifles are sort of pathetic, but I still have a Glock just make sure that the ******* that breaks into my house comes to an understanding on why it is bad to break into my house....

A more murderous lot of hardware was never conceived. Seems like not a day goes by that an SUV doesn't wreak some kind of murder or mayem. Hmmmmm, makes me kinda wonder what the poor hapless passengers are doin whilst all this is goin on?<br /><br />Great find SnR. Now if you could only get Dan Rather or Peter Jennings to read that during prime time.

Specks n Reds, I agree<br />If in fact someone enters my house unlawfully to terrorize my family, this terrorist ain't long for the world. Which one of my 9 guns I plan on using is entirely up to me. I'm one of the 4 million already

I agree, the 2nd amendment is crucial to the future of our country. My question is this, "How do I know by joing the NRA is going to protect the 2nd Amnd 100%?<br /><br />In many posts I've always said if they want to save lives, we need to teach people to drive. Quit gripping about guns. Go after the main killer. "BAD DRIVERS "<br /><br />Wow, just imagine 47,000 tomb stones each YEAR! Thats around 13 times more killed than 9-11!each YEAR!<br /><br />11,750 were alcohol related, if 1 in every 4 fatals were due to impairment. WHAT about the other 35,250 fatals? <br /><br />I'm sorry for ranting about this, but it makes me mad because it is something that can be prevented easily.<br /><br />People are operating a piece of equipment. Do you see heavy equipment operators using the cell phone, radio blasting, eating/drinking, putting makeup on, reading, drawing, nursing, sight seeing, racing, and unmentionable adult funtions. NO! Because why? He could kill someone. DUH Sorry, getting mad again <br /><br />And talk about how many guns kill, geesh <br />Okay I'm shutting up, Bye......SS

SS Mayfloat:<br />Nutin is 100% in life. But the NRA is widely recognized, by friend and foe, as one of the most influential lobbies on Capitol Hill. I think in retrospect, you could say with 100% certainty however, that with out the NRA, there would be no legal gun ownership today.<br /><br />It is virtually the only line of defense we have. Without the influence of the NRA, I would venture to say that even our more conservative legislators would have, at least, traded away our "Right to Bear Arms" by now. The 2nd Amendment is of no value without someone to stand up and fight for it. The NRA does that 24/7. They also have won many, many victories on the local level.<br /><br />It is absolutely essential that all of those that profess adherence to the 2nd Amendment pony up and support the NRA. Just voicing your support will not do one bit of good against the Hillarys of this country.<br /><br />ps Do I need to hold up, as an example, our Commonwealth Cousins, HHHHM? <br />Their anti gun factions have been so effective that, apparently, they've even sucked in the poor deluded citizenry.
