:confused:How do you hook up the fuel lines (in and out) to the fuel/water sperator. What kind of fitting do you use because the kit doesn't come with any????

You need what's called Bayonet fittings. The fitting has pipe thread (NPT) on one end that screws into the filter housing and the other end is tubular serrated that will accept the rubber gas hose. Use worm gear clamps on the hose connections, do not over tighten. You must determine what sizes you need. Everything is different. Use teflon tape on threads to insure a good seal.

the fuel/water seperator installation will require 2 pipe "barbs", 3/8" I believe, and 2 brass pipe plugs, again 3/8", but check your instructions on size, mine also said use the white teflon pipe compound, not the teflon tape, so you can buy a tube of that wherever you get your barbs, like Home Depot, Lowes,Ace Hardware. It's an easy installation, just bolt the unit to the transom and run the fuel hoses in a way that they won't rub or kink or interfere with anything when your motor moves. I remove my fuel/water seperator canister, dump the water/junk out and just screw it back on. never seems to be much junk in it, so i may replace with a new canister once a year or so. it works like an absolute charm and eliminates most fuel problems. Don't forget to use the Stabil Marine all the time!
