Recently I had the misfortune of hiring a local mechanic to overhaul my twin 1989 Volvo Penta DuoProp Stern Drives. He claims that he threw out my original aluminum props so I don't know what size the originals were. Unfortunately, he put props on that are oversized and they limit the engine speed to around 3800 RPM max (~30 MPH). I used to get ~45 MPH at ~4600 RPM (ball park). The boat is ~8500 lbs, 27 ' 9" with a 9.5' beam. The engines are twin 205 HP AQ205A engines. The sterndrive ratio is 2.3. Could anyone help me figure out the right size? Thanks.
