Never had a DuoProp but today put deposit on a new boat with Volvo DPS drive.

Do you apply same approach as a single prop drive ... pitch to get in WOT band.
Are manufacturers good at getting pitch right, so I won’t need to change it ?

sorry if this is basic ... just never had DuoProp.

Yep, all is the same, the DP drives are more efficient

The real great thing about DP's is backing. A single prop when backing moves the boat side ways, the twin props is mostly straight back

yes, most riggers get it right on a DP right from the start.

once you go DP..... you dont go back.

To date...I’ve never known a vp dp boat to be anything other than perfectly set up prop wise. God knows how but they are usually inch perfect.

Sounds like I should have no worries.
