I didn't see a category for fuel tanks, so please bear with me.
I am rebuilding a 70s Harris Flote-Bote 16 foot pontoon that came to me partially disassembled and I picked up a used Dura-Tank 6 gallon universal heavy plastic fuel tank to use on it, but the pickup tube has come off inside the tank. I need to know if the black elbow fitting on the tank can be pried out or twisted out to replace the pickup tube. I tried turning it, but it doesn't budge with reasonable pressure from a crescent wrench and I was afraid to really bear down on it in case it is molded into that specific orientation. Anyone ever removed the gas fitting elbow from a Dura-Tank? It is a good heavy tank and I'd like to salvage it if I can. Thanks
