I'm planning on taping off and using the durabak rough for the decks on the boat. has anyone used the smooth for the inside Walls? How does it look? Im thinking of using it in the vertical walls underneath and the fact of the step into the helm.
I used the smooth on the inside of the hull. I think it looks pretty good. It has some texture to it, since you roll it on, but not much. About like a wall when you paint it with a roller. I think it looks nice.
Jim looks great...I am looking to use only smooth white for the walls and textured on the floor. From your post you used rough then smooth on the walls right?
Does anybody have photos of just smooth sprayed or rolled? If I can get a good finish out of it im going to paint the face of the step as well. Any pics would be great. I guess im trying to get a good durable finish that I can possibly roll. Can the imperfections be taken out of thjs stuff? I will have dive tanks and a kid (not sure which is harder on the boat ) banging off thus stuff.
I had to go back and look, but you're right: I did use a coat of textured on the walls before I applied the smooth stuff. (Amazing how I can forget that sort of detail so soon....)
I believe I used only smooth on the kick panels mounted under the console. I'll see if I can get a picture. Might be hard; my boat is up on blocks while I'm working on the trailer.
