I have a 1958 Duratech S15r with an Evinrude 18 hp short shaft. I was wondering what the largest practical motor I could put on this would be?

A 30-35hp vintage (pre 1982) motor or a 25-30hp modern (post 1982) motor.

When your boat was built, OBs were rated at the crank. After 1982, they are rated at the prop.
