finally got the little wizbangs and created a dva adapter for around $16.00 in multiple parts, I have yet to test it until i get my "HOOKED ARM" trigger, just want to verify its soldered up right. Is this correct?

I couldnt find the exact resistor so used a 1/2w 4.7 mohm one instead, hopefully it doesnt bleed down to fast.

Here is were i got the data: http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=374544

Thanks Chris!!

It's only 400 volts at a very low duty cycle. Even if you get bitten :D it's just a tickle.... :D :D :D

Re: DVA adapter for multimeter

I don't know what value capacitor i used, except it came from an old flash unit.It can throw a decent spark.I have built a lot of night vision gear which uses anywhere from 12000 to 24000 volts at a low amperage and gotten zapped several times but the dva spark looked stout enough i didn't want any part of it.I put my dva meter into a plastic .22 ammo box.It has a sliding lid for access to the parts inside.
