e-tec how it run with out oil

i have a e-tec video they cut oil line on motor and run it for hour's at slow speed I know I'm a dummy but how is this posible with out a spare oil injection tank.

Magic! The same technology that allows some newer cars to run for some distance with a loss of coolant applies to the E-tec. Metalurgy, better control of manufacturing tolerances, and use of electronics allows the engine to run at unstressed levels for quite some time. The oil actually serves a cooling function as well as lubrication.

The E-TECs have a separate lubrication system compared to a regular 2-stroke motor whose oil:fuel mixture instantly passes thru the crankcase.<br /><br />E-TEC delivers straight oil, not mixed with fuel, to the bearings, pistons, rods, etc. inside the crankcase where it is recirculated and eventually is carried along with the intake air, to the combustion chamber.<br /><br />At the 1200 SAFE speed that the computer sets when there in a NO OIL pressure signal, the motor has very little lubrication requirements and the residual oil inside the crankcase keeps recirculating.<br /><br />The new piston alloy and cylinder wall honing process also contributes to low lubrication needs.<br /><br /><br />Even a regular 2-stroke motor will idle for quite a while without any oil in the gas before any serious engine damage is done.

I didn't think it was oiled by fuel only like two stroke diesel it has a crank case thanks seahorse

roller and needle bearings under no load dont need much lube. its the same as the old dura lube commercials were they drove the chevy V8 100 miles with the oil plug removed.<br />what I would like to see is a 1 hour run with the water pump impeller removed, now that would impress me.<br /> but the old no load indian oil trick is smoke and mirrors and best serves the sales dept.
