Re: E-Tech

The 60 degree V6 E Techs have been out a while now. Very good motors. The 150 HO looks really good.

The 115, 175, and 200 won't be available until May or June according to the latest from BRP. They will be labled as 2007 motors with the same pricing as '06's. The 150 will be another month or so before full production.

Re: E-Tech

I have been to the e-tech site (evinrude),is there another site where the latest info can be had. My concern is I want in on the 7 year warranty which expires march 31. Where is the best place to buy one of these. I'll do the rigging myself so having a motor shipped is not a problem. thansa for the feedback so far.

Re: E-Tech

Rigging it yourself does not void the warranty, but any damage or problems from improper set up, rigging, adjustments, or oil bleeding will NOT be covered by warranty, and certain damage could void future warranty claims, depending on the problem.

It would be a very good idea to have an anthorized dealer to the oil bleeding procedure and start up the motor for the first time. That way you can avoid possible scored pistons and other problems from improper set-up and initial run in.

Bombardier also has a very good rigging book available plus the appropriate service manual is recommended to learn how to do things correctly.
