As my lower end is now totally disassembled it is time for the reassembly; hence new topic and next question. I'm waiting for my "factory" service manual, and meanwhile still working with the Seloc which states emphatically that all seals should be coated with gasket seal compound - however, in the detail of bearing carrier assembly (and driveshaft assembly) it states to coat the outside of the seal with Hi-Vis, and the mating surfaces with Triple Guard.
What goes on the outer edge of the seal - Hi-Vis or Gasket Sealing Compound?

As I said, the manual IS on it's way; just making due with Seloc for now; thanks for the clarification on the sealing compound.
