My old dash-mounted ignition switch broke off so I connected new switch with this diagram.https://forums.iboats.com/filedata/fetch?id=6957836

It's been tough trying to actually find a proper diagram, i've re-wired the new started with the wires in mutiple different positions and I'm stil getting nothing when i turn the key over.

I checked battery voltage with volt meter at its around 12.4

I really don't wanna take to the dealer.

Did you check the fuse on the motor? Stop re-wiring the switch like that. Does the new switch have the same lettered terminals? Checked the neutral safety switch? Power to the solenoid?

I thought about checking fuse but wasn't sure which is responsible for ignition system, i will look up tho. I have a couple new switches with all about the same lettered terminals, i've had mechancis tell me theyre all the same ignition wiring setups. I was starting to check the power to the solenoid but haven't done it before so ill have to look up how to do that.

Thanks for the guidance

Just make sure you do not apply 12 volts to terminals marked with----M---- as that can get expensive.----------If the 20 amp fuse is blown the motor will not crank over.

Yeah I apply Magneto and ground to the terminals marked with M, Dont think i've attached any other wires to M. I hope it is the fuse and not the ignition switch and or kill switch. The starter was working fine before the old switch bit the dust.

I'm going to head over to the boat now, and check fuse first thing. If fuse in-tact going to do a continuity test on the ignition switch... If the ignition isn't showing continuity between the terminals that are supposed to be showing I would assume bad wiring somewhere in the circuit?

Not sure how to do a kill switch test yet, gonna look that up.
