Me and my brother purchased a 1976 Bayliner Mosquito with a 1982 Evinrude 70 Horse outboard.
1st mistake was we bought in Pensacola Fl where I was at college. Great memories on it....
2nd was it was our first boat.
Boat ran great until I moved to California and the boat stayed in Georgia. Now I'm back in Georgia and want to get the old girl going.
1st problem- I noticed when working on motor someome has placed a "hot" wire going to a solenoid or something mounted on the back side of the engine. Then there is a wire on the same post going right back to where it came from..the same place where the hot wire comes from the battery.. WHAT IS THIS?? It has a ground to motor also attached to it? Can I take it off completely?
2nd problem- I have a SELOC manual and have missed alot of my little girls preciuos moments trying to study the thing.
What is the easiest way to get to the thermostat...
Thanks repliers
