Re: Eagle Fishmark 480, Or Lowrance x96 ?

i have been using a lowrance x-96 for the past three years and i am extremely happy with it. has real good target seperation when it is set up properly, shows more detail than i know how to use, and for the money i dont think i could find one that is better.

after having said that, there really is no difference between eagle and lowrance products...........they are the same electronics with different name badges. lowrance is the parent company for eagle electronics.

The only real difference I know of between the two is that the Eagle has 480x480 resolution, where as the Lowrance has 320x320, and The Eagle has no Flasher and the Lowrance does.

Hmmm.

I was about to say that Eagle's often have less power than their Lowrance counterpart, but it looks just the opposite here. The Eagle is 4000 watts vs. 1500 for the X96.

I don't think you are comparing similar products either. The X96 is a 200 kHz while the 480 is a dual frequency (50/200).

The X126 DF looks closer to the 480.

So if the price is close between the 480 and the X96, take the 480.
