This old boat came with a trolling motor. I don't even know if it works or not but since everything else has, well pretty much anyway, I am hoping this will also.
I have done a net search and a search here but cannot find any info on this "Double Eagle 2450" motor.
The couple of posts I found here were from 3-4 years ago but neither got an answer.
Anyone know anything about this or Byrd Industries of Tennessee?

Re: Eagle trolling motor

The motor works and works pretty darn good too!
I had no idea that there was so much "finesse'" involved in running one of these things. I thought since the pedal didn't go down it wasn't working. Then I found out that it doesn't work unless it is connected.
Tilt for go, down front then down back to turn. Man, like a different kind of video game and I was never good at those.
On the other hand it does make getting into the stumps a LOT less hair raising and easier!
Now I wouldn't go in there without it and it's only been two days.

I got an old byrd trolling motor from an estate sale. This old magazine article is all I could find about it. Popular mechanics mag Aug 1974 . Copy and paste in your search
Good luck
