eagle ultra 2 fishfinder?

A friend of mine bought this eagle ultra 2 fish finder at a yard sale and gave it to me. It has no power cable or transducer. The power has two male prongs but they are not marked pos or neg. I would like to see if it would power up before I spent any money on cables. Does anyone know how to determine wich is pos or neg so I do not blow it up?

Lowrance/Eagle has a first class Tech Support. I would expect to get expert help from them.

If you cant get help from the maker then open up the unit and look at the cables. They should be color coded as usual, red + black -. Or, if you have a mayor retail store in your area check with them, they might have a compatible cable in their display units that you can just plug your unit and see. If not they usually let you return cables if it dont work. Good luck!
