I have a early chrysler 120 hp that was recently stored for I dont know how many years...anyway I just took the boat out and a day later I noticed gear oil on the outside of the lower unit..Could the seals have dried up? I am not a boat mechnic but is is possible for me to replace them and at the same time replace the impeller while I am at it. the engine runs good while in the drive way LOL but out on the water I cannot get very much throttle without it bogging down.....I will change the fuel filter that mihgt fix that problem.I have put new gas in it already.........any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Chuck

ON the lower leg of the outboard you'll find 2 screws. Labeled Vent and Drain.

It's the bottom most screw. Large screw, Remove that screw labeled drain, if water or milky colored oil comes out, you need new lower end seals and gear oil.

You need to do a carb. job or have it done at a shop. Gearcase needs to be resealed.
