I've got an older boat that I just bought and it runs and everything but the steering does not work. I'm guessing the cables are froze up because this boat sat for about 15 years. Where do I get new ones? I did read the sticky post about measuring them but IDK where to get them or if I need specialty tools for the repair. Thanks in advance!

Welcome aboard.

First you need to determine if you need new steering or motor maintenance. Disconnect the the cable where it attaches to the steering link on the motor. See if the motor can be moved from side easily. If the motor is tight, try greasing the swivel.

If the motor is OK, try to spin the wheel from lock to lock. If it's frozen or tight, it's best to replace the steering system. For a little more money than the price of the cable alone, you can have a complete, safe, new steering system.

Match the type you have now and choose the cable length. Look here - http://www.iboats.com/Boat-Steering...4342302--session_id.138884108--view_id.217122

Can I post video on here? Maybe a link to YouTube to show my issue in detail in a short clip?

You might need one more post to attach a video. For attaching photos a minimum of 3 posts is needed, I think it's the same to attach a video.
