I have an AQ125A volvo motor. It has an internal cooling system.I would like to change the anti-freeze and check the thermostat.I see a plug under the exchanger and with a mirror I found a plug on the lower half of the block. Is that a plug for the cooling? Is there any other places to drain? Thanks.

I'm waiting for someone who knows about this also since my next project will be changing the anti-freeze in the closed cooling system. We seem to be working on the same projects.

Yes we are.Just changed the oil today.Used the garbage bag trick. It works well.Monday I'll change the outdrive oil and grease everything up.Hopefully wed. I'll be able to drain up the coolant and put in some fresh stuff.I let it go last year thinking I would get to it in the spring but you know how that goes.

Ok I looked all over the bloch of the motor and could only locate one plug on the block. Is it possible thats all there is to drain the coolant.I wanted to pull the plug but I decided to wait until morning.Ps- My Clymer man.doesn't have any help in it as usual.Going to finally order that factory manual this week!
