Easy question about a 270 outdrive

Guys, if you were to look down on the top of a 270, you would see 4 hex bolts (excluding the dip stick hole). The hex bolt to the top right is larger than the rest. What function does this bolt serve?? Nothing is mentioned in the Volvo owners manual about it. Just curious. Thanks!

I haven't owned a 270 for a few years but I don't recall a larger hex bolt. Maybe it has been stripped and repaired with a larger thread.
