I have a 2000 Sea Ray with a 3.0 and alpha 1 gen 2 outdrive. I discovered a leak on my concrete driveway coming from a leak I believe to be at the connection point between the oil reservoir line and the bell housing.

Does anyone know an easy way to remove this line from the bell housing?

You're going to break it getting it off.
Here's a reference thread:

There is no easy way. It is one of those things that you wonder how it got put together in the first place.

Yes
Unfortunately there is no other way than pulling your outdrive, removing the tilt pins, and pulling the bell housing back so you can get in there. It takes a cheap little Sierra adapter to remove the pins. Others have used an Allen adapter to grab 1/2 of the teeth. Remember 90 ft lbs out and in.

If it is the hose thats leaking get creative with a blade from a razor knife or carpet knife and cut the hose off the fitting carefully because the fitting is plastic and is a B$%^h to change

The plastic fitting BT is referring to is at the other end of that hose, the gimbal housing end. If you pull the hose off the bell housing fitting, and suddenly load up the fitting in the gimbal housing.... SNAP, gone...

And it really is not fun to replace.

Yes the leak is coming from the bell housing side not the transom side.

We're aware of that, just warning you about the fitting at the other end.
