easy ?

i have a 94 40hp evinrude when i first start it, it will only fire on top piston but once i set it to high rpm,s it will start firing on bottom piston and continue to run correct what the hell is going on?

could be you have a loose or corroded connection, and stator is not producing enough electricity to arc across it till high revs.
