What would cause the impellers to keep getting tore up? I just put in a new one and just did a test run and its chewed up? I have tried to see what outdrive I have, it is on an 1982 470 the s/n on the outdrive from what I can see is 6219112. When I put this last impeller on it was super tight in the water pump housing but they came as a kit .I want to make sure I put the right water pump kit in.It looked like the top of the impeller was rubbing on the top of the water pump housing.Any thoughts?
