Hey all, quick question about the Edlebrock 1409.
1994 Bayliner Carpri 2050LS
Merc 4.3LX - Alpha One Gen 2
Weber 4 barrel w/ divorced choke
So, the Edelbrock 1409 comes with the following:
Metering Jets - Primary .098, Secondary .101; Metering Rods - .068 x .047; Step-Up Spring - orange (5" Hg).
Merc manual #18 says:
Primary: 0.089, Secondary: 0.089, Metering rods: just a part no, Metering Rod Spring Color: Yellow
I'm assuming I'll need to get the Calibration kit 1485 and it will have the appropriate parts, but then thought about the old saying about making ASSumptions...
So, questions for you all....
1. Is the merc manifold equivalent to the 2111 or 2114?
2. Use merc-spec'd jets - 0.089?
2. The meterig rod inthe kit is 0.068 x 0.057.. is that the right one?
3. Shouls I use the Merc spec'd yellow sping? In the kit?
Thanks!
Don
