Anyone out there operate an Edson boat. Just picked up a jem for very low dollars. has a caulkins trailer, open bow, full canvas, and 40 hp rude. Just trying to see if anyone else runs an Edson or am I the only one. Hope you post back

Serge. Thanks for the reply. I have done some research o the Edson boat line and they were manufactured in Brandon Manitoba, by Marrs Leisure. Owners name was Bill Marr. The plant in manitoba shut downa few years ago, and then the plant in Toronto shut down about three years ago. If you had some old phone books from toronto you could probably find some info there. I would be interested in this also. The Chamber of commerce in Toronto should be able to help. My boat is a 14' open bow resorter with a 40 evinrude. Great shape and we have just finished adding new seats and our own personal tochs. I am located in northwestern ontario close to the Quetico park and white otter lake area, where the famous white otter castle sits. Not likely to get much response after 17 odd years but I am also NWO, Shuniah, East of Thunder Bay on the bay. I am newly in possession of an old Edson Monaco on an equally old Shorelander trailer. I gather Edson made a good solid boat?
