Hey all,I have a 74 trisonic,24' day cruiser that has been sitting for more than a few years.I bought it about 6 years ago for $1200 .
I replaced the gim,and all the bellows and had a lot of fun with the boat for say 3 years. We live on the river and have gotten flooded for the last 3 years, and it's been sitting.Long story short old boat, poor design on deck, and not worth putting a lot of money into it.But motor and out-drive are decent (1100 hours) .about two foot out from center are deck supports/stringers?That are 1/2 to 3/4 plywood fiberglassed, that are rotted ,junk,gone..I'm not gonna stick a lot of money into it and am just looking for ideas, and suggestions of what others have done,I don't know if buying cloth and fiber..is even worth it,maybe roofing tar and cheep plywood, would last say another 5 years? It's a good boat but not worth sticking a bunch of money in to

The stringers are the structural support of your boat......best advice is fix it the correct way or send it to the scrap yard... I wouldn't trust my life on a band-aid repair.....

fix it right, or scrap it. no way around it. roofing tar is for roofs, not boats.
