electric choke

i have a 1975 70hp seahorse. When i have my electric choke on the butterflies will close properly and the engine will fire, however as the engine warms up the choke will not disengage and will eventually stall out. Is it just time to replace the choke actuator itself or is there something else wrong not letting it disengage?
