I am going to replace my fuel high and low pressure fuel pumps on my 5.7GSI FPCBYC. I was searching the internet and found a few different brands at different prices. I was wondering if anyone might have any experience with any of these. I would like to save money but not if it is going to cause issues later. I found Teleflex $99, Airtex/Carter $105, Serria $145 or OMC/Volvo $180 each. I was thinking about purchasing the Teleflex or Carter to save about $80 over the Serria what do you guys think? Are these good brands?

I know it's a little off topic, but... why would you replace both pumps? If you have a fuel pump issue on an injected V-P it's either the high pressure pump or the low pressure pump. Not both at the same time.

Once you start using aftermarket parts it's a crap shoot. Nobody can tell you definitively that one off brand is better than another off brand.

I was told that you should replace both? my high press is whining and was told that it could be bad or the low pressure might be the issue? I was just wondering if anyone has used one of these with no issues?

I purchased Airtex E8266 high press $75 Amazon and Airtex E8264 low press $83. It appears that Airtex is manufactured by Carter? I am still wondering if they are reliable but cannot find any reviews, we shall see. $160 seems soooo more realistic than $400. hope to install them today or tomorrow.

The most common reason for a V-P electric pump to whine is that it's sucking air along with the fuel. Get yourself a V-P troubleshooting guide unless you just like replacing parts. There's absolutely no reason to replace both pumps if one is faulty, and you haven't confirmed that either is bad yet.

If I was going to just start replacing parts, I'd start with the low pressure pump. Those seem to have more issues than the high.

Nothing wrong with my high pressure pump but it whines like hell. The original owner said it always whined, and has been noisy all 3 seasons I've owned it.

As for aftermarket pumps, hard to go wrong with Carter, it's the same Carter that's been building carbs for 1000 years...
