Electric shift switch 71' Johnson 60hp 60ESL71

The repair guy tells me my Electric Shift Switch is bad. The motor runs great but will only go into reverse. I have read some of the posts here and it seems as if a replacement is VERY hard to find. Can someone tell me where I might locate a replacement and/or how to make a new switch(three way light switch?)?<br /><br />Also, any sources cheaper than Ken Cook for a manual on my engine?<br /><br />Thank you very much for your response.<br /><br />

Willy....yeah Ken Cook can be on the up side of a few bucks, but, nothing, and I mean nothing beats an OEM manual for yer' engine.

OMX/Teleflex switches for outboards are much different than for a sterndrive even though they look the same. Go to omc-switch.com for more information.
