All depends on the motor. What do you have?

I have started a 6hp merc with a 24v Makita.

I have a 15HP 2010 Merc 4 stroke pull start. That would be a neat trick if the modification wasn't expensive!
I know adding a starter would be...

La Gun,
The guys left out an electric choke selinoid if you are starting remotely. Start selioid with wires to battery, Shift interlock switch to protect from starting in gear. Some kind of push button to start selinoid. Acording to the people at mercury the bracket that holds the choke selinoid is NLA. I had to make mine. I converted a tiller 05 15hp 4 stroke to remote. It was worth every penny. When the 15 is setup right it fires on the second pull most of the time though.
