Electric Starter and Bracket for 18 hp Fastwin

I am also trying to convert my old pull start motor to an electric start. I have searched Ebay for brackets and starters, but have had no luck. I have also been told that they are pretty hard to find. Does anyone know where I could get one? My motor is a 1969 18 hp Evinrude Fastwin model # 18902BE05919. <br /><br />Thanks!<br />-Jacob

Try tcoutboard.com and marinepartsoutlet.com. I belive you can use one off a 25hp (late '60s - late 70s). And they were far more comon on them. That's the p/n for the electric start conversion kit (~$350 or so).

I checked for you, but the one I have is for a 1976 35HP. I dont think it will work, but if it will, let me know.

Try Hoovers repair 596 Plummer Rd. Stamping Ground Ky. 502-535-6014 I just bought parts from him for a 1958 18hp johnson he has boats and motors everywhere
