Had some welding done to my aluminum hull. When I got boat back from the Dealer, he mentioned the battery being dead. The battery was practically new. Would there have been some kind of problem created if welder didn't remove the battery cables before welding? I'm curious if this could have messed up more than just my battery.

Re: electric

Chances of it actually damaging your battery is remote at best, but welding can cause issues with some electronics if the battery isnt disconnected.
