Will the charching system on an outboard be more significantly prone to fail with a stereo and amplifier hooked up to the battery? Is made to handle accessories other than a light and pump?

As long as your stator can keep your battery charged I don't see a problem. More people have trouble with overcharging. Put a voltmeter across your battery with motor running and everything hooked up and see what you get. Marine type battery is a good idea.<br /><br />Dave..

I beleive the 90 has an 18 amp alternator so as long as the total load stays under than, you will be ok.
