Hi there,

I`v got a Yamaha Single Engine Binnacle Control 703 and need help to connect it to my 200 hp mercury 1998 carb any advise ?

Please help !!!

On a single Yam binnacle, you have a 6-pin connector. Red, green, blue, 2 browns, and black. Red is power, green is down, blue is up, the 2 browns are neutral safety, and black is ground...

You'll need Merc adaptors for the cables, but match up the colors in the harness, browns go to the yellow w/red stripes, pull a ground from the helm bus, and you should be good to go...

I`v all most got it sorted out one thing i cant get is wish 2 wires are the signal wires for the rpm gage ?

The purple wire from the engine harness goes to "I". The gray wire (tach sender) goes to "S". You also need a ground...
