hello...i have a 16 foot hydra-sport bass boat. there is a metal thru-hull plate at the back bottom of the boat. is this a grounding plate...and what all attaches to it. thanks

My guess is that the plate is a ground for a 2-way radio antenna. In radio transmission and reception, the better the ground, the better performance one gets from the antenns.

I think you should be ok grounding it to that bloody thing....But if it shocks the **** out of you, I would ground it elsewhere!
